Effects Of Type 2 Diabetes

Effects of type 2 diabetes can trigger and strike you anytime. This killer disease is can ruin your life. Are you aware of the symptoms? How can you prevent it? Let's talk about it here.

What is diabetes? It is a form of metabolic disease in which a person can't produce enough insulin or not producing at all. In this state, sugar in the blood can't be metabolized for the use of the body. It is an irreversible and debilitating disease which can affect many organs of the body, like the heart, kidneys and the eyes.

This disease if diagnosed early can be prevented. You must just know the risk factors and the symptoms which accompanies this disease. Risk factors include genetics, family history, diet and nutrition, exercise, sedentary lifestyle, smoking, pregnancy and other underlying medical conditions.

Symptoms of type 2 diabetes onset include increased or near maximum blood glucose levels, blurring of vision, yeast infections, increased thirst and hunger and frequent urinations. When you feel you have 2 or more of these symptoms, consult your doctor as soon as possible.

Your doctor will give you diagnostic examinations to rule out if you have pre diabetes. Blood glucose test and oral glucose tests are the primary diagnosing procedures done. He will give you recommendations and advice on what you should do when results come up.

Preventing diabetes is like learning its risk factors. When you feel you have the risk factors try to avoid them, or if not, then lessen them. Preventing the disease is much easier than what you will do when you already have acquired it.

Because of the high rising research on treatment and prevention of diabetes, new solutions have come up. Nowadays, supplements specially made to prevent diabetes as well as for the maintenance of blood sugar are now out in the market.

They are available in different forms, brands and manufacturers. You just have to look for the quality, not the price. You should also know which ones are safe to use. Though we all know herbal supplements are made from natural ingredients, it is still better to be cautious.

Whatever products you choose just remember, looking for a cure is more costly than preventing it. It is for you to decide. Don't let diabetes ruin your life. Kill the killer disease. Prevent effects of type 2 diabetes by knowing its causes.

Success Defines Us

If you're to ask everyone you have met for his or her definition of success, no 2 answers would be exactly alike - nor should they be. My personal definition is: Success is the daily realization of predetermined worthwhile goals, worthwhile both to me and to others.

Socrates was convinced that we give the best attention to the least important things and the smallest amount attention towards the things of the highest importance. He believed that
wealth doesnt achieve excellence, but excellence brings about wealth and all other private and non-private blessings for men. It was the state of our souls which was most important to Socrates: the inner life of every person, greatness of spirit, wisdom, inner excellence.

Once we give precedence to inner, both inner and outer fall into place. When we follow the opposite course, emptiness will result. Success as I define it begins with something in the inner existence of thought, feeling, imagination, and judgment. Success as I define it resonates deeply with our innermost needs and values, which then naturally manifests in the outer world. Only then can we attain the harmony and balance necessary for true happiness and true success.

The hunt for achievement ought to be an exciting and fulfilling adventure, where the thrill is in the journey. I
ve said it before: one should not approach the road to success as one we travel today to achieve success tomorrow. Aspirations to succeed and excel need to drive us every day. Or, most days, anyway!

What would you like?

We require a clear conception of what we want, a vivid vision, a goal or set of goals powerfully imagined. What do you want to be? What do you want to do? Do you think you're becoming it now? Do you think you're beginning to do this already, if only in a small way? If not, why not? What are you waiting for? If you are moving in a general direction you feel good about, are you making the sort of progress you think is suitable?

You can do it!

We must have confidence that we are able to attain our goals. When we set ourselves high goals, we always face a challenge. The great Harvard psychologist and philosopher William James said that we must learn to banish unhelpful doubts and cultivate beneficial self-confidence. Whenever we set new goals we believe in, higher goals we aspire to, and whenever we face new opportunities for growth and development, it is easy for doubt to rush in and meet up with us.

Focus!

Dreamers can live inside the confines of condition and often are unable to accomplish anything in the real world. Their imaginations are in gear, their visions are vivid, but they
re unable to make the leap from their dreams toward their goals. We have to focus on making things happen; what it requires to get from A to Z, if you will.

Commit!

We need an emotional commitment to the importance of what we
re doing, and to the people with whom we're doing it. This is a commitment expressed not in an individual action, nor even in a number of actions over a period of time but in an entire way of life. It means committing ones self to being a successful person. In the immortal words of Vince Lombardi, The quality of a persons life is in direct proportion to their commitment to excellence, regardless of their chosen field of endeavor.

Finally, remember that how we define success defines us. How do you define success? How does society define you?

Small Steps, Big Changes

Small Steps, Big Changes

We all deal with clutter, believe it or not. Yes, even that friend with the spotless home. She doesn
t appear to have clutter because she deals with clutter before it takes over her office, home and life.

But what about the rest of us, with overflowing closets, ready-to-topple piles of magazines or bottles or spices spread over three cupboards?

The key is to tackle your decluttering step-by-step. A woman I know swears by the Wood Theory. It goes like this:

Facing a daunting load of wood that needed to be stored in her basement, she committed herself to toting one
and only one piece of wood to the basement every time she had to go to the basement for another reason (to unload her washer, for example).

A whole load of wood is daunting. But one piece of wood isn
t. Its not even that heavy.

Little by little, and painlessly, the load of wood got smaller. And smaller. Until it was gone from her yard and stacked in her basement.

Hmmm, she thought, if the Wood Theory works for wood, it can work for other tasks. Dust one slat of the blinds before going to pick up the kids at school, and the blinds are soon dusted, for example. It
s harder to avoid a small task that takes minutes or even seconds than it is to carve out the time to finish the entire job in one long, back-breaking session.

Here are five chores that are worth tackling the Wood-Theory way:

1. Never miss a birthday: Write one card per night while you
re watching a post-dinner rerun of your favorite show and youll soon have all your birthday cards for the year signed, sealed and ready to be delivered

2. Streamline your closet: Line a cardboard box with a plastic bag and place it in your closet to hold donations. Every morning when you
re getting dressed, choose one item for the box. When the box is full, take the bag and drop it off at a roadside donation bin. Repeat until the job is done

3. Scour your bathroom: After you brush your teeth, chose one area of the bathroom to clean (wash the tub or change the towels, for example). Once the room
s clean, start all over again.

4. Organize your spices: When you run the dishwasher, choose one spice container to fill, re-shelve (in alphabetical order, of course) or toss. Your spices will be organized in no time! Consider using a drawer insert to keep spices neatly together and easy to grab when you
re cooking

5. End magazine mayhem: While you
re watching TV, keep handy a kit with scissors, a three-ring binder, page protectors, label tabs, a plastic bag and a pile of magazines. Flip through one or two issues at a time, cutting out the pages that have articles you want to keep. Put the pages in the protectors and file them in the binder, using the label tabs to separate them by category. Then bag the leftovers for recycling

Clutter doesn
t have to seem daunting. By taking small steps and applying the wood-theory, you can accomplish big tasks in no time!

Success Originates From Good Habits

There are a majority of people who are jealous of other's success. They can't understand why other people can succeed. As far as I am concerned, success is the process of cultivating good habits. People who are winners often have nice habits in their daily life. So what good habits should you have if you want to succeed? I would like to share something about that with you in this article, and I wish that you would learn something from it.

First of all, you are supposed to specify what you want to do and the purpose of what you want to do before you do everything.

Secondly, if you want to change your ideas, do keep in mind to be cautious and never make any determination in a hurry. There is a proverb in China which says look before you leap.

Thirdly, winners always have the ability of listening to others' perspectives. Try to be a person who is good at hearkening. You will of course get something meaningful from the speaker. Besides, to be a nice audience can make other people more willing to make friends with you. They will consider that you are a good communicator.

In addition, you had better set down the plan which must be finished per day. Since there is an idiom says that seize the day, put no trust in the morrow. Furthermore, we all know that every great success or huge invention is make up of tiny things. Don't neglect the matters you will deal with everyday, all of them are precious experience which can assist you in the process of growing up.

Additionally, persist in writing diary. Most of writers confess that insist on writing diary every day is fairly useful to one's development. It can rich one's experience and react one's nice character and persistence.

Besides, remember to do things that you are fond of. I mean, since interest is the best teacher, you will get wealth and success more easily if you do things that you like. When it comes to interest, I remember one person who is the richest man in the world, yes, he is Bill Gates. I consider that all of you know that Bill Gates quit school when he was in senior school and then devoted himself to Internet. He likes computer very much, that is the interest of him. As a result, he succeeded finally.

Another habit that you need to acquire is practice. Have you heard about an idiom says that practice makes perfect? The success of athletes in Olympic Games is gained through numerous exercises.

The last but not the least one, learn how to autosuggestion. The power of autosuggestion is unbelievable. I believe that you are familiar with Edison, who is the greatest scientist in the globe. But do you know that Edison also used the method of autosuggestion to made himself succeed finally? His drawer has a piece of paper on which wrote "I will succeed. "He told himself that he would get wealth and success in the end and it became the truth. As a consequence, be confident in yourself, always trust yourself and you will succeed like Edison.

To sum up, if you want to gain wealth and success, you should have good habits to pave the way for success. Nice habits will accompany with us in the lifetime while wealth and success are temporary. Suppose that your life needs success to be your motivation of hope, your life needs good habits to produce the road to walk forward as well.

Changes

I know that for many of us, January is a pivotal month. Whether we call them resolutions, promises, initiatives or some other name, it all boils down to the fact that we are planning to start the year by making changes to one or more aspects of our lives. We determine to quit bad habits, acquire good habits, eat less, save more, etc. You know the drill. Unfortunately, these are the types of superficial changes that mask the real changes that need to take place in our lives.

I am referring to profound changes in the way we perceive our experiences, and how those changes can be processed and filtered to improve our relationships with Self and others. Making these kinds of changes requires a huge effort that often takes us far beyond our respective comfort zones.

If we change our way of thinking, we can change our way of seeing. And when we change our perspective on things, Grace follows.

However, until you feel good about yourself by making some internal changes, you won't achieve lasting results with the external changes you make in your life.

Internal Change

Start by taking baby steps toward making internal changes in your relationship with Self.

You are probably familiar with the saying "don't sweat the small stuff." Overall, that's pretty good advice. Sometimes, however, the small stuff is not so small, and we really must address (or "sweat") it, in order to get rid of it and make room for the blessings.

One way to get rid of that small stuff is to add prayer and meditation to your day. This suggestion is not just for religious people, but for spiritual people, as well. It has been said that prayer is simply us talking to God, while meditation is listening to God in the silence.

It is difficult to silence our minds, especially in the early stages of meditation (and sometimes even in the latter stages), so don't try to suppress the thoughts that come up. Just let them pass through your mind. Imagine yourself waiting for traffic to slow down so that you can cross the road. Eventually, there will be a break in the traffic and you will be able to cross. There is an old saying that goes something like this: Trying to control the thoughts in your mind during meditation is like wrestling with a pig in the mud. Two things are accomplished: first, you get dirty; and second, the pig likes it.

I encourage you to start your day with 10 minutes spent in prayer and silence. A carpenter would not start a job without his tools, so why would you start your day without yours? In the silence, we connect to our innermost Self; our heart. The prophets and great teachers have told us that the heart is the place where we can find our true nature.

External Changes

Our lives are made up of a series of routines that are sometimes so ingrained that we no longer recognize them as routines. They are simply there as a part of our daily lives. That's why changing a routine might require some real thought and consideration.

But once you identify those routines, it is fairly easy to make changes to some of them. You could switch the order in which you shave and shower. Brush your teeth before you wash your face or vice versa. Dress yourself by putting on sock, shoe, sock, shoe, instead of sock, sock, shoe, shoe. Order takeout on a different evening. Go grocery shopping at night, instead of during the day. Take a different route to work, or use a different mode of transportation.

The possibilities for change to your routine are endless.

But it does not really matter what routine you change. What matters is that you do something . . . anything . . . differently, and that you notice how it feels, the new things you see, the new people you encounter, etc. Take it all in and really feel the difference that a change in routine can make in your life.

I ask that you take some negative event that has happened in your life and review it. I mean all of it.

I'll give you a short example taken from my life. My parents died within six months of each other: first my Dad when I was 15; then my Mom when I was 16. Both my parents died of cirrhosis of the liver. Because they each suffered from the progressive disease of alcoholism, they had been incapable of taking proper care of me for quite a while. Later in life, when I was able to look at the bigger picture, I was able to see that the need to fend for myself at such an early age led to me developing into the person I ultimately became.

I did not (or felt that I could not) rely on others. I went out and did things for myself. I worked very hard to accomplish my goals because I knew there was no one (or so I thought at the time) to help me. At the same time, I went out of my way to help others who were in similar situations. This is a huge positive that came out of a negative experience early in life.

I ask you to try and look beyond the hurt or resentment of any one experience. Try to pull back and look at the big picture to see how the situation has made you a better person. You will find something positive there. Believe me. Everything happens for a purpose.

Step Outside Your Comfort Zone

I ask you to embrace another change in perspective, and I am guessing that this will be a tougher challenge.

We all have people in our lives that we just automatically pre-judge, often for no concrete reason. Inevitably, these folks end up on a list of people we don't really care for, even though we have not really taken the time to get to know them or find out what makes them tick. But who are these people really? What are they like? Why do they rub us the wrong way? Why do we have such a visceral reaction to them?

Getting the answers to these questions could very well require us to step outside of our respective comfort zones. And believe me when I say that I know what a tremendous challenge it is to step outside the comfort zone. But I promise you that the trip will be worth every bit of discomfort and angst you may feel.

I believe that there are no coincidences. Every person in your life is there for a purpose; they have something to offer you. I challenge you to pick someone on your list and make it your business to learn something about them and really absorb it. Then determine how what you have learned impacts your life. I guarantee that what you learn will in some way change your perspective on that individual.

I hope you have picked up some valuable insights related to change that will assist you as you make your way on your life journey. The exercises I suggested will bring you closer to discovering the secret of being human. May you feel the presence of The Divine Mother, Heavenly Father, and Friend Beloved God walking beside you on this journey every moment.
